CREAF, one of the NODE founding partners, contributed in the State of Mediterranean Forests 2018 report published by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in November 2018.
The book is the first review of a previous significant report published in 2013, which contained crucial data. The current version of the report aims to provide a picture of the current state of the Mediterranean forests, considering threats and potential solutions for their conservation.
Enrique Doblas, CREAF researcher and scientific coordinator of the NODE, coordinated the chapter related to Drivers of degradation. This contribution is especially benefiting from Dr Doblas’ experience with global change in the Mediterranean demonstrated in recent important scientific articles available on Science Direct and on Wiley Online Library.
